Having seen the cost of a replacement 50t chainring for an ultegra chainset. What are my options for a value replacement if any
Do 105 still fit with the sculpting of the arms ? By fit I mean physically fit and function rather than "look right with the crank"
The one on the bike is so far beyond replacement it's not funny. It's practically round
Im also watching this topic with interest. A set of shimano chainrings is about the same price as a complete chainset...
I bought a while new 105 group in the end when I totted up new rings, chain, cassette, cables and pads.
Ended up with a whole extra gear, and new bb & jockey wheels too that I wouldn’t have had.
still cost more, but was betterer. And 5800 is betterer than 6700, so it’s not even a downgrade.
Just needs a new chainring the cassette, chain and cables are reasonably new. Chainrings on its 3rd of 4th chain and the wife only uses the big ring I think. Inner ring looks barely worn
i bought one from a overseas ebay seller for £60 as i nedded an silver one
that was the best price i could find
so are there no aftermarket ones?
On a 6750 chainset I think any standard 5 bolt 110bcd chainrings will fit. You will need new bolts though and they are not shaped to the cranks but they will fit and work.
I have 42t ta outer on my wife's cx bikes using them cranks.
Drop me an email if you want a picture.
I might have a new fsa 50t standard ring if needed
The parts list for 6750 shows the 105 ring as fitting just looks different.
