5. Gwin under fire (still)

A newly tweaked Specialized Demo has arrived for Aaron with a slightly longer back end which has only added fire to the rumours that he's struggling aboard the big red 'S'. He went out in qualifying and attacked with his extra 19mm of back end - an over the bars relegated him to 53rd. The pressure is (still) on...

Really looking forward to this one! Can Hill return to winning ways or will it be Gee again? Is the one for Stevie Smith? Joe Smith looking good for a podium? What will Gwin do this week? On the women's race will Manon get her first senior win or will it be Rachel again? Maybe the French girls will mix it up a bit.

Very excited!

Kinda rooting for Manon, I wouldn't be surprised if everybody had upped their home for round three.
What time (uk) is it shown live, in the pub and don't want to miss the action.

Yeh me too. I can't see Rachel/Gee getting beat tbh. We shall see.

Dismantle some parts from the bike, shower then settle down to watch it with a few beers. Bring it on! šŸ˜€

This reads bad in Oz...

Go Gee and Mick, but reckon it's Sam's track. Also good luck and smash it for Jess Stone qualified in 11th, great rider and raced with her at her first ever DH race

Hill has a good chance if he stays on. Gee can ride steep stuff with the best of em, so I think it is between these two.

woohoo and we're off!!

[quote=chakaping ]heli went off ages ago, what's the hold up?

looks like the helicopter is still above the track

*edit*must have been a delay in getting him into an open enough spot to safely winch him up

If you're using Chrome with adblocker you can right click on the twitter feed window and click 'block element'.

Awesome wc. Thirion was on it in the steep stuff, the track was properly crazy, the crowd were nuts and Aaron Gwinn gave my son his red bull cap!

Some of the of the crashes were really nasty but loved the chainsaws šŸ˜†

Anyone seen updates on Cam Cole? I've looked on his twitter and a google but got nothing...

Hope it's nothing serious.

The line Remi took at the bottom was ridiculous! I didn't see much of the lower qualified guys, was he the only one that took that line?

Cole was up and moving initially so hopefully not as bad news as the helo suggests, that hillside must be a nightmare to move people about on. He looked well out of it though.
