i.e. What do I have to do to attend?

I can get there (2 of us, likely by car)
If we go by car, will parking be a nightmare?
I can probably find a hotel (none of yr camping) though haven't tried yet & I guess everywhere could be booked up and of course very happy to get recs of cheap'n'good ones, pref within a kn or so of the venue.
Tickets:  a quick google while knackered yesterday brought up not much; is it likely to be pay on the gate? (surely can't be free, open access can it?)
Any sensible chance of getting some riding in or will the trails be rammed/shut - and maybe too big a theft risk?

Anything else I need to know?

Ta

When I went to Val di Sole it was free and open access. It also wasn't a huge event like Fort Bill so lower your expectations if that's what you're after. It was more like going to a BDS. The crowd only cheered for the local riders and it was all a bit low key.

We only paid for lift tickets so we could walk the track. Speaking of which, it's an absolutely savage track. It's amazing to watch the fastest riders tackling it.

I've just realised this was 8 or 9 years ago now! Things may have changed.

30 euros for Sat & Sun, not too bad

Yeah not bad if it includes a lift ticket for both days. They might be able to spend the entry fees on drumming up a bit of atmosphere.

I just remembered a really weird thing about our trip there. There was music blasting all day long but they only had 2 songs. It was a Kasabian song and some euro pop song and they went round and round over and over again. It was annoying, then funny, then irritating, then just ridiculous. We both left knowing every single word of these 2 crap songs.

Anyway, enjoy it. I don't know when my next WC will be.

@scaredypants. I'll be at VDS for a day in a couple of weeks, if there's anything you want me to find out let me know.

I'm leaving today to go to Leogang and then on to a few more parks in Austria and Italy.

As mentioned the track looks a brute and it's in a very remote location and I've no idea where how far the nearest hospital is, so I'll be taking it easy

It's the one WC track I've always quite fancied seeing in the flesh, with it being so iconic and tough.
