Another hardcore track.

Qualification is done: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/results-world-cup-dh-val-di-sole-qualifying-2015.html

Which by my calculation (using the standings at http://www.uci.ch/mountain-bike/ranking/) puts it as follows:

Gwin 1462
Brosnan 1395
Bruni 1392

So, unless I am wrong, a top 3 finish for Gwin puts it in the bag for him.

Looking forward to it. Going to have to avoid the internet again, as am going to be stuck with the replay.

As always, predictions are worthless. As always, anything can happen.

Can't wait to watch it.

Having been to Val di Sole, I'll just say, no matter how steep, rough, gnarly and downright dangerous it looks on screen it's much worse in real life.

If Minaar wins then Gwin needs to finish 30th or better to win the overall according to the math on the pinkbike comment feed. Bruni can't now win the overall. Would like him to win this race though.

I'd love to see Bruni win just to get the monkey off his back. He does much better when the pressure's off so maybe the overall going out the window will settle him down.

As suspected, I am wrong, and it is indeed between Gwin and Minnaar.

Edit: Don't ask me how I got that wrong having watched the whole season. I must go into the 'How is getting older working out?' thread, and type "Not very well apparently".
