As above really. I had an issue with my Pikes so I had them sent back. I've been told by who sent them that they have been with fisher for over 2 weeks now, but apparently they've still not decided if it's warranty or not and don't have spares for it in stock. Is usual?

SRAM warranty turnaround is currently 2 days (which is pretty normal at his time of the year).
Availability of spare is always an issue. They ran out of reverb barbs (the bit that always breaks off when you crash) for 6 weeks once.

Ok. I'd heard their turn around was usually pretty quick, but after over 2 weeks in limbo with no forks, eta on them being returned or decision on whether it is warranty I'm starting to question that!

Bump for the daytime crowd. Is that usual from Fisher?

I would say not usual, if you ring the shop you sent them back from, they will give you the returns number that fisher gave them. Then call the tech centre and they will be able to tell you when it arrived etc.

As above. It wouldn't surprise me if the shop was telling porkies.

I am trying to get the returns number, but without much success unfortunately. fisher won't give me any information without it either, which is why I'm querying it on here. I may drop them an email anyway

Anyone got any email address that works? The link on the website just bounced mine back.

My Pikes went back last November and we're replaced under warranty. Took pretty much two weeks iirc. They were very helpful when I contacted them directly, the email I used was Sram.Tech@sramtechcentre.co.uk

Hope that helps

It took 5 weeks when my Rebas went in under warranty last October. As Rorschach says its more to do with lack of parts than slow turnaround. In my case they were waiting for new fork lowers which was the part that needed replacing. They must have to order them in from SRAM America or something on a case by case basis.

Once the parts had arrived I had my forks back within two days.

I've had a Reverb warranty replaced (new for old) in 2 weeks very recently.

My Reba's have been in SRAM Tech for 3 weeks yesterday, though. I put the old forks back on the bike and I've sold it. Hopefully they'll replace not repair the Reba's and I can sell them unused as new but my luck isn't that good so they'll probably repair them instead.

Whoever sent them back , was it a shop ? will have done an on-line warranty request via the Fishers website which will have generated a returns number so they will be able to give you it . Fishers/Sram warranty is excellent and it is unusual for the shop not to be told what is happening within 2 days of them receiving your product .

Edit Just realised this was a resurrected 4 months old thread .

Yep, forks were replaced and are on the bike 😀 the fault was with who sent them back, as they sat on them for 6 weeks before posting them despite saying they'd gone.

however, fisher do have my monarch plus rear shock as wear was apparent on the shaft before it was due it's first service. They say it's not warranty, possibly as I've left it a while before sending it back but are checked with sram.

Glad you got your forks back, @trusty. Shame about the shock, though.

After an update last Wednesday that my Reba forks were "being worked on" at SRAM Tech it's been another week of no updates. 4 weeks since they landed there.

It's through Planet X who have been very good. They're communicating very well and sent them off the same day they landed there from me. Can't argue with that.

I want to sell them on to a friend. Bonus all round if they come back brand new. Crossing my fingers.

They were/are/will be great forks. Super light too.

Scotroutes, you win the cigar.

Gelert, good luck with your forks. Fisher were great with my Pikes once they got them.
