Any recommendations, must be cheapish, I like Maxxis, but open to any recommendations.
For a racey hardtail.

bonty mud x 2.0 front and 1.8 rear or maybe some 1.8 nobby nics?
not cheap i know
maxxis medusa should be good and maybe cheaper

I've got a pair of Bontrager Mud X 2.0 TLR's (TubeLessReady) on my 819s, they work well - running with a little latex.

They're great mud tyres - first time I have EVER bought the same set of tyres again when the old ones wore out.

i have just fitted my Maxxis Medusa 2.1 onto my hardtail.
they are light and also grippy and come in either 1.8 or 2.1.
