Will it be impossible to use old/used tyres with Stans No Tubes? I am worried that any previous punctures will make inflating them for the first time impossible. Experiences?

Thanks!

Should be fine.

Just put the Stans fluid in and swill it around before trying to inflate them.

I regularly use used tyres - can't say I've ever had a problem

Be fine, unless there are any gaping holes. IME the bigger issue is that older tyres are often quite 'baggy' on the rim, which can make inflation harder.

i've used old tyres, they seem OK. I've sometimes patched the inside of the tyre if there was a hole you could see light through. Agree with nJee20 though, at some point folding tyres just get to baggy to stay on the rim reliably, wire bead ones don't seem to have the same prob though. Also only seems to be a problem if you move tyres between rims. I've put a folding tyre on the rim and just left them on for 2+ years and they have been fine. I think it is the continual stretching between different rims that does it
