Due to constant tinkering 😳 and following modern trends 🙄 I have a couple of SRAM chains shortened for 1 x 9 etc.

Realizing that the saving in weight/maintenance etc is minor plus a bit of a reorganization I am going back to a triple up front.

Now .... I have kept the links removed from the chains - presumably there would be no issue with adding a second powerlink and splicing in a few more links?

I have four on one bike, for similar reasons - one to start, one when I went 2x9, one for 1x9, and one when it broke.

I have had chains with several powerlinks in. You'll be fine.
