Hi,

Just wanted some views on what I have done to make some clearance between my rotor mount and caliper mount. As you can see I have added a pedal washer and it fits perfect as a spacer. Is this acceptable in terms of safety.

Thanks,

You'd be better spacing out either the mount of the rotor as by putting it on the axle you are deforming (only slightly I realise) the fork.

Or is it rotor to fork clearance that's the issue?

iv been doing that for about 3 years with my fox 36, the hope rotors need more room to clear the fork.i source a copper spacer off ebay exact fit for the bolt through axel jobs a good one .

Like B R says, you are now running a disc mount on the fork that isn't parallel to the disc. The caliper might adjust unevenly to suit.. but it's not the best option. You also now have a washer on the inside of the dropout instead of the serrated face of the hub.

I've used a couple of washers behind a caliper mount before, no harm in that. As said above I'd have reservations about spacing the fork leg.
