I've a few old helmets mounting up in the garage but I hate throwing stuff away so would rather find a use for them. The only thing I can think of is a hanging basket but that's a bit, well, not very manly? I mean I appreciate a good hanging basket but... Err, anyway.
keep wearing them?
They're old and battered. I value my head a bit more than that.
ok. give them to the poor then
Saw them in half, mount them on garage wall, wee memories for ye every time you look at them.
Hanging baskets for the garden?
Wrap them in tinfoil and sell them to some posters in this thread http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/911-documentary
Add legs and head, and you’ve got a couple of tortoises.
Or 8 legs and you have a spider
Stuff it with moss and twigs and leave it in a tree for a birds nest
Add a clock mechanism and hang on a wall
Wrap it, fill with plaster of Paris, cut in half - bookends
Break it up and use in the bottom of plant pots as drainage
Carrier bag holder
Anyone suggested hanging baskets?
I would grow strawberries in them

Have a word with your local first aid provider.
Old helmets make great training aids duing practice scenarios.
Full face especially as there is a technique required to remove a full face helmet with a suspect spinal injury.
