Anyone else riding this tomorrow?

Could be interesting if it's wet. 😯
Yes! My boy is and really hoping it's dry for all riders.
No, but quite a few of my mates are.
Looking a bit wet and breezy, but Swains should be fine since it's quite narrow. It'll be the top and bottom where everyone will get wet 😆
BOL if you're taking part.
Wave to the London Phoenix guys who are marshelling for you.
Good luck all enjoy, ahem...
Good luck all endure, ahem...
FIFY..
Wave to the London Phoenix guys who are riding as well as marshelling for you.
😀
*waves at mum*
I think i traumatised him a bit by telling him I'd talked to his mum on an Internet forum. I could see his mind racing...
really hoping it's dry for all riders.
It's not looking promising. 🙁
I tried doing a seated L7 effort up the steep bit this evening in case it's wet. Super had to keep up a full sprint sitting down. We'll see how it goes.
BOL if you're taking part.
Thanks. I've been put in the seeded part of the draw. No pressure there, then. 😯
That's not a hill
*waves back at Kryton*.
Oh gosh, that would have rendered him speechless! 😀
Are you marshalling today? Do hope the weather improves, just had some thunder and lightening in Hampshire.
That's not a hill
It doesn't matter how big it is, it's how hard you push it.
😯

It's lashing it down at the mo. 🙁
Are you marshalling today?
No, its family day today for me, bike day tomorrow. Plenty of ours in the event though as its a local training climbing for the club.
For anyone interested, its been Everested by our club as well as others which equates to riding it 142 times 🙂
Kryton - I believe the weather is better tomorrow. 142 times is insane!
Sunshine and blue skies here now, am willing it to head to Highgate.
Have fun all. 😀
Some great pics of cargo bikes with smiling kiddywinks!
A mate of mine got 2nd, no idea why he wasn't seeded though but it was a bit drier earlier on so that helped
Apart from Isaac, (who was over 10 seconds faster than 2nd!!) It was so tight in the top ten. Less than 2 seconds separated 2nd to 10th. There was a downpour 20 minutes before the seeded riders, so it was a bit tricky to keep traction. I think that closed the field up a bit. I really died in the last 50 yards, but got 9th overall.
Mixed feelings from my side. If you'd have told me I after I broke my wrist last winter and had 3 months off the bike that I'd have made the top 10, I would have been happy. But after being so close the podium and knowing my power was a big down on a couple of efforts I've done in training, I was a bit disappointed.
Still, this wasn't my main focus for the HC season, so onwards to the Eastern Counties and hopefully Catford (awaiting entry confirmation) next weekend.
