Seems to have been a lot of these recently. I noticed a couple have been held in the UK. Where are details about these upcoming urban events published. I'd love to enter one but always find out too late. Seems that Redbull are predominantly responsible for organising them, is it just a case of contacting them directly for info on future events? Anyone here ever entered one?

They look great don't they! There was one going to be in Newcastle but it got cancelled at last minute. Sure Sir Peat was gonna be there too, damn it!

Edit: I'm pretty sure this was 2010 though?

Every one I can remember seeing in the UK looked a bit shit. Someone needs to get their act together and build a city on a proper mountainside!

I wonder if there'll ever be an urban round of the world cup.

I personally think, given the quality of some 'urban' downhill events I've seen recently, that adding one to the WC calendar would be a good move.

Bridge north had one a few years ago, lots of complaints from home owners there where to many spectators, blocking the roads, so they havent had another one.

Yeah, I remember the one at Bridgnorth. It was quite good fun if I remember correctly. Atherton whitewash wasn't it?
