Well, Claud Butler actually...

Do I need to hide on the trails as eldest_oab has a new bike today, Claud Butler, in distinctly less than #enduro black with black forks and black wheels....

Should I add some accoutrements such as SantaCruz stickers and gold handlebars? 😉

For a black bike you need to match up the details with a contrasting and consistent colour in any neon colour or white.

Matching, grips, saddle, wheel/rim decals and fork decals are a minimum. For extra enduro seconds coordinate your hoses, cables, valve caps and tyre decals.

So yes, I think you should be hiding. Definitely do not be seen, do not smile and definitely do not take any pictures.

Actually that looks pretty good. He's a lucky lad to have that at 12. Fork looks a bit wierdly big - 120mm or just a small frame?

Yeah too right, I'd be chuffed if I was 12 and had that, all I had was a custom Merlin Alloy with Vuelta rims stx rc magura hs33 frogs and a dc fork which moved 1 cm in travel

It is a amazing what you can get for £300 - and it will do three boys in time so worth it.

What's the weight like? The hybrids at work are heavy old beasts, even the more expensive versions.

Will not mention green algae growth up wall....

Move that very nice kids bike out the way because your patio needs a jet wash

Weight: dunno, but about the same ball park as his old Specialized Hardrock with similar kit on & Fox forks. The wheels (hubs) are heavier, as are the forks.

Patio and wall are terrible, but frankly I have bikes to ride, rivers to paddle, mountains to climb and internet forums to visit as a priority before the garden... 😉

Looks sorted Matt 🙂

The front end does look very high (compared to the saddle). Might be best with a flat bar or invert the stem eventually.

I agree - but the saddle is higher than that already with him riding it at proper height.
