I've started riding a bit of DH and think its time to invest in some upper body armour. After a fair bit of internet trawling yesterday I've ended up on the Fox Titan, as it looks like it offers a good layer of protection without costing a fortune

Before I pull the trigger has anybody else got any reccomendations at a similar price point or have experience of this armour.

Cheers

I recently bought a far simpler Dainese set up, mainly because I dont think the riding I do needs more. FWIW, get what you feel you need but make sure its comfortable, I tried a few sets on and some I felt were quite restrictive to me and would probably cause me to crash! Like helmets its a personal choice

I was going to suggest the troy lee 7850 as lightweight armour, but that fox looks pretty decent for the money, especially if the back protector can be used on its own.
Might be a bit hot looking at it, but I recon I will order one myself, nice one!

EDIT for uplifts days only. I wouldnt dream of going riding around wearing this sort of gear, far too hot for a pedally ride.

Best going. Meets higher safety standards, available in long sleeve too
