At the moment ive got a boardman fs. Decent bike but i want a better bike. My budget is £1000-£1700. I am mostly on Llandegla reds/blacks, Penmachno, Marin Trails, these are the trails i usually use or maybe the odd Moel Famau type ride.
Ive spotted this 'FreeRide' bike and wondering if its suitable for these types of trail?

What are the negatives etc? Or if you could recommend me any bikes that would be great! Thanks alot lads! and lasses
That Commencal would be horrible to ride on cross country trails such as Llandegla, Penmachno etc. It's a downhill/jump bike probably weighs as much as the moon too.
(edit - yep, that's over 38lbs, your boardman about 29)
For your budget you'll probably not get anything new much better than your Boardman. Perhaps look for something second hand?
Oh dear thanks for picking up on the weight difference! A friend bought a bike 2nd hand 3 rides in the frame snapped, so always been weary. But if i did what bikes you think i should look for?
