Just wanted preface this by thanks to all who helped me with my endless stream of questions in the forum.

Finally got round to upgrading my bike after the Christmas money rolled through with some serious new components. The bike has gone from:

Shimano RD-M750
Shimano CS-M350 11-34
Sram 9 Speed Chain

to

Shimano RD-M5120
Shimano CS-M4100 11-46
Shimano HG45 with Sunrace Link.

Now I can just sit and spin in the largest gear like a true Surrey Hills Warrior 😉

Nice looking bike mate.👍

Great getting it all sorted yourself eh? Nothing better than tinkering/ upgrading/ building your own bikes.

Apart from riding them.😁

Not really a lot there that needs upgrading though, just a few detail touches. Maybe a longer travel fork, some carbon wheels, bars, grips, stem, pedals and saddle colour-matched to the frame. While you're at it, a carbon frame with modern geometry. Benefit is, you will have enough spare parts to build a spare bike, so you'll have two bikes for the price of one.

... then you'll find you've acquired a third set of wheels somehow or other, so you may as well get a frame to go with them.
It's a vicious (bi)cycle.

The cassette and rear mech are wondering what they've done to deserve this.😀

Yes there are always new things to add to a bike and I am still looking at some minor upgrades but atleast most of it is done after two days of work and a few silly mistakes.

Odi end caps need realignment so the logo is parrellel to the floor

Nice work! It's a very satisfying feeling. I was recently on the verge of selling a spare frame when I realised I actually had enough parts (bar one or two details like bearings) to build a whole new bike - so I did!!
