Hi All, I have a 1980's Peugeot, steel frame, road bike which I use for commuting mainly 😀
It has an old steel seatpost and saddle fixing which I would like to upgrade to something a bit lighter etc... The main problem is that the seatpost is 24mm diameter and I can't find a replacement anywhere.
I would like an Aluminium seatpost and modern saddle clamp but would compromise by keeping the steel seatpost but replacing the saddle clamp.
Can anyone suggest any way to sort this problem out?

If it's a fairly thickwalled seattube, you could bore it out to 25mm and use an older USE post?
