Trying to do a can service on my Xfusion shock, however the can seems to be stuck on. I've undone it before, but not since it was sent away for a service.

I bought one of these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Spanners-Wrenches/BOA-BOABABY-Baby-Boa-Strap-Colour-Vary/B00096JDJY

But still no luck, tried putting the shock in the freezer for a bit but then the condensation meant I couldn't get grip on the can to undo it.

Any other tips?

I know your pain, I didn't think I'd ever get my fox aircan off.

I tried freezing, sitting in boiling water, swearing, shouting, pleading.

In the end the best method I found was to fit it back in the bike rather than a clamp etc, use the strap wrench to apply constant pressure rather than a jerking motion and hold it there, if that doesn't work immediately try just gently applying more pressure on and off, right at the edge of the point the wrench is starting to slip, it turned in the end with such little fuss I didn't notice at first.

They chafe something rotten but you can't half get your cans out quick.

Might be a daft question but have you let the air out?

I found strap wrenches hit and miss. They work better if you clean the air can and strap with isopropyl alcohol. That has worked for me in the past.

Air out, bra strap already fully sandpapered up.

I'll give it a go in the frame with a inner tube. Cheers.
