Looking at Fox forks today, 8 noticed a Float 38 K Factory fork.

What does the "K" denote?

Factory tells you it's kashima.

The ebike ones are e-tune or e-optimised.

Just can't work out what the "K" is about.

Wondered if it might be the drop out style refering to the Kabolt rather than QR15 but the description and photo both mention QR15 so it's not that.

Gotta say, I thought it was the Kabolt, perhaps they've just used generic phots and text from the manual in the description?, lots of places do that. You could write to the customer service email to check, or on line chat?

Yeah, I thought it was Kabolt as well.

Like you say, probably poor technical knowledge by the retailer.

Actually, looking at the spec on the Fox site based on the serial number, it mentions the "K" but also shows it to be QR15.

It doesn't mention Factory so perhaps the K does mean kashima

Just looking through a few for sale, it would seem K denotes Kashima  - for Kabolt, it's KA-X

Cheers. The confusion seems to have come from the fact that some adds keep the K in as well as Factory which makes the K redundant
