Anyone had any experience? Got a bike yoke revive that's stuck in a steel frame.. Going to attempt removal this week but anticipating ruining It and fancy a under saddle lever dropper.

Currently running single speed so until Bluetooth brakes are available I'll be running 2 cables hopefully.

Any brands to look out for or avoid.

Safe n ting.

I have an old HiLo that I briefly ran like that as its an option...

Honestly it's shite, you'll be trading in the convenience of a quick flick of a bar mounted lever to drop your seat for the mounting panic that comes as you're fumbling about near your crotch approaching something you'd really quite like your seat down to tackle, with one hand on the bars...

It might not be as clean looking but that lever and bit of cable is definitely worth it.

AXS reverb or Magura Vyron would allow you to keep only 2 cables/hoses…

I picked up a Vyron for £140 off eBay recently.

Had a KS i7 on my old Five for years it was very reliable. Never minded reaching under the seat at the time but when you've had a bar mounted lever you'd struggle to go back IMO

If you can't ride one handed, or care terribly about Strava times then you won't want one.
On a singlespeed they fit in nicely I feel.
I've got an under saddle grab one on my singlespeed MTB plus rigid MTB and they suit them.

Trail/enduro bike not so much.

Cheers for the replies, will keep an eye out for a magura vyron. And th KS.

Not fussed about strava times, happy one handed and just looking for a clean and simple bicycle (will be used for dhy/enduro and occasional xc 👍

Seems the main set back is 125mm drop on the under lever... Hmm

KS Dropzone...available as a lever dropper although I have 2 of the remote versions (no real difference aside how activated); got 1 secondhand and 1 brand new, havent needed to do anything with them aside cursory clean around dust wiper but they have worked for years, must be at least 5+ years each

I had a KS dropper like this, it was ok at the time but since I replaced it with a bar remote I realised that it sucked. You might as well save your money and get a QR collar
