I like the way it matches the bow of the barge behind it. Nice touch.

Are those pivot bolts ok?
Someone needs to test the warranty claim I think 😉

Good move using the front garden and not the back garden 😀

Ultimate Orange 5 Colour Thread

Is the answer not in the question. Don't own one, but I'd feel a bit weird owning one in any other colour.

Nice to see plenty of black components. A friend of mine has recently built up an extremely tidy electric blue Five but insisted on putting a load of silver components on it, which is blatantly incorrect.

Neon orange with black/silver decals. That's what I'll be having next. Might even go for white wheels and blue Hope finishing kit. 😯 8)

2nd would be neon yellow as sported by the Alpine in the snow on the website.

Legend> "loving the simplicity"?
I don't mean to be facisious, but I'll say it anyway... How is a CCDB simpler? It does have quite a few settings and i propose that it is MORE complex than a faux/four bar linkage with an RP23 😀

I've always liked the raw finish, although I'm not so sure it was worth the immense effort of getting the paint off...

Neon Yellow for me... Took a while to make the decision as the colours on the website and example sheets at the LBS look nothing like the final colour...

Re- CCDB being simple, looks like legend got his from TF as I did, I can honestly say I spent more time setting up my RP23, it's spot on from the get go.

I think its great to re-live history, most tin plate toys from the early 20 century , were very brightly painted.

er yeah I see what you mean! CCDB is set and forget through (as soon as I decide exactly where I want it set), but the simplicity is just having one pivot to look after. Haven't had that since my Coyote DH2 🙂

The luminous orange ones look the best.. I honestly don't see the point in having an Orange if you don't have it in that colour. Gunmetal grey does look nice as well though. I'm actually coming round to liking the looks of the 5 now, so long as it's not a large or xs they look alright.

Neon yellow is where's it's at! That one on page 1 looks ace. I'd love a 17inch Alpine in that colour.

The dark greys and sky-blues are nice. But if you're going to have an Orange, it is your patriotic duty to do it right and have an orange orange IMO. It looks right, and it's thematically correct, job done.

@mandog, you are correct it does. I'm not a great fan of massive branding stickers on my bikes anyway, i bought a heckler back in '09 and immediately pulled all the stickers off, just looks better without all that stuff all over it, I don't like the way that companies like cube/scott etc have their name written lots of times all over a frame/componants, plain and simple for me thanks.
