New ish frame, newly fitted Ultegra latest group. Running 50/34 and 12/30 rear. Gears shift up and down perfectly, in fact its just sooo smooth. However...in the big ring every gear is near as damn perfect all the way up and down the cassette. But in the small ring it shifts perfectly all the way up to the 30t cog, then after around 6/8 pedal strokes drops into 2nd gear. It will shift back into the top cog again almost suggesting that is has "shifted" down as  opposed to dropped off.

Obviously with it working in big ring the limits are set correct etc, hanger hasnt been checked yet but its next on list.... The front mech is working ace and syncro shift also running fine.

Any ideaas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Adjust the limit screw ever so slightly it’s sounds like it’s a tad to tight usually drops down around 10-15 seconds if it’s slight to tight but appears fine every where else

I’ve found Di2 quite picky about hanger alignment. More so than mechanical, so worth getting it done

Kudos to Davehast, slight adjustment and woohoo. Sorted.

Will test it under load tomorrow but a quick around the block and all seems fine.

Thanks

mine did that - it's the limit screw .... the mech "overshifts" initially then drops

back to it's correct place. If the screw is a touch too tight it can't overshift far

enough so the step back to correct position means it downshifts 1 cog 🙂
