Most recent tub was the consistency of runny natural yoghurt, as opposed to the usual solid "spreadable butter" state it always has been. Anyone else found this? Seems quite different wondering if they've changed their formulation, I've messaged them on Facebook to ask, just interested if anyone else found the same? It *seemed* to work the same yesterday but not sure of its staying power longer term.
I've tried others before I get a alternative recommendations, just interested whether Udderly Smooth has changed first.
Thanks!
I have had a couple of tubs like that as well, but my latest tub has been OK. I was like you, a little wary of it working the same, but it has.
I find that it is firm when first opened, but becomes runnier as you work your way down the tub.
For multi-day rides, I scoop some into one of those small squirty travel bottles that you can buy from the chemist, and it does seem to change consistency - especially when you squirt it out to use it.
The biggest change, for me, is that Amazon have now restricted it for sale to Prime customers only.
Need to decide if I want to go Prime
Thanks both. This was immediately on opening so was clearly different. Will give another tub a go after this one and see. Cheers.
Daft question, could it have got hot somewhere? Been sat in the car or similar? If you put it in the fridge (marked Don't eat this...) would it return to a firmer state?
Noticed this for the first time this morning when anointing the FOG posterior. I haven't used it for a while and it seemed much runnier than usual but my butt tells me it is working so I assume it changes somehow as you work down the tube { mine was in the squeezy tube style}
It's a tub and it's been sat unopened (admittedly for a while a couple of months) in the bathroom cabinet so nowhere particularly "hot" (unless the noxious fumes from the throne reacted with it) so not sure it's that.
I shall report back if they reply to me on the FB message.
In the meantime, may your barses be forever supple, whatever lard you choose.
