Uberbrake pads and thicker rotors

I've got the thicker SRAM rotors on the bike - I think they might be 2.1mm thick - seem to be very good. I use Uberbrake Race matrix pads on my Code brakes.

Anyway just bled and replaced the old pads and I can't get the pistons back far enough (they are fully retracted) for the pads not to be on the rotor. Just done a 6 mile ride and it felt like 20 - brakes work amazingly well now but the wheels don't spin at all (first time I've ever experienced slowing down going downhill without my pulling the brakes).

I'm too tightfisted to sand the pads down a bit and I suspect I'll be suffering for the next 3 or 4 weeks, but has anyone else experienced this?

The Uberbrake pads do appear to be slightly thicker than the other pads I've got to compare with (Superstar) and I'm assuming the slightly thicker rotor is also contributing. The pistons cannot go any further back - I opened up both bleed nipples and retracted the pistons so I know I'm not running excess fluid.

I think I'm just wanting confirmation that I'm not the only one discovering this and will also be confirmed that after a couple of weeks riding the resistance will reduce as the pads won't be sitting on the rotor.

Ta.

Had the same thing with my formula r0, just sand them.

If you're only replacing pads on one caliper, fit one new pad and one used pad to each caliper. After a few rides, put both new pads in the front.

Sand them down a little until the fit
