Any opinions? Ordered some of the standard race matrix, but seem to have received the XL pads instead...
No problems with the race matrix - it's the best compound I've found - but wondering if anyone's used the XL? They look a bit weird with the thin back plate and comparatively big chunk of pad material, and am thinking the reservoir won't have much fluid left by the time the pads are worn down, with the pistons having to come out further than usual...
The XL pads are a couple of pounds more though, so should I just be pleased with my potential bargain?

I assume they came up with them as a result of the thinner plates for the insert type finned units. I had wondered if the thinner backing plate might possibly help with heat issues- should transfer not build up better I think.
I've been mulling taking a punt on some of these!
