Posted about this in the 20% topic but maybe throw it over to a wider audience - good value at £16 for the lot but has anyone actually used their (non-latex) tubeless kits/ sealant?

https://www.uberbikecomponents.com/view-product/Uberbike-Tyre-Matrix-Tubeless-Conversion-Kit-300ml

All reviews of sealant seem to come back to Stans or the pricey Orange...cannot find much on this Matrix gloop.

Not sure about that one but I've used

Love2PedalUK® Tubeless Bicycle Tyre Sealant - Liquid - Fluid (500ml) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AT59JM0?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

This one on 2 wheel sets with no problems. Seems dirt cheap compared to the main contenders

Judging by the lack of replies and Google reviews I don't think they have sold any of this stuff!  😀

Just adding my review here, used twice the amount recemened on the instructions and same result on three different wheels - they don't stay I inflated! Previously used the ordinary Orange seal and it worked perfectly (dries out though) on the same wheels, have ordered their endurance version and the Uberbike stuff will be getting washed down the drain...

I've switched to Cafe Latex after having problems with Stans.

So far, so great. Not a bad price either!

I do know it doesn’t like latex and won’t play nice if the tyre or tape has latex traces, similar to how wax doesn’t like regular chain lube.

It sets up ok for me but it was an experimental wheel that I haven’t actually ridden. Definitely unridden it won’t stay sealed longer than a few days but Stans is like that too, so I’m still keeping an open mind.  Tbh I haven’t had much time to tick around with wheels I don’t actually need just recently...

I purchased some for my first attempt at tubeless, it's not going well. I don't know whether to blame my taping skills or the sealant.

I bought a bottle a few months ago when putting some new tyres on. When I went to change tyres back 3-4 weeks later the sealant had coagulated/separated into thick balls of goo and a very thin watery substance. Spoke to Uber about it but they couldn't think what had caused it. Using stans at the mo.

I’m using normal Stans and it’s been ok, but I don’t think I’ve had anything big gonthrough a tyre in the last year or so to really test it. Just set my hardtail up with Stans too - but cheaper tyres than the fs so that might be a tougher test.

mbuk reviewed sealants this month and the top one wa Stans really expensive super version (theybdidnt test the standard one), but the value option was caffelatex which came 2nd in test. Now I’ve run out of Stans I think I might try caffelatex next time I need to setup a tyre. Probably will be when changing tyres for the winter as I doubt any of my wheels will need any kind of topup before then.

I got given a bottle of uberbike sealant by a friend who said it was useless.....I have set up a new Maxxis Aggressor and it sealed fine.  When I took it off you could see the fibres bunched together in a couple of places around the bead where it had sealed.  So I tried it with a worn and cut up Minion.  It started out leaking like a sieve all around the sidewalls and several places in the tread.  10 minutes later after spinning the wheel in the work stand and its stayed up for 2 weeks with no pressure loss.  I'll be getting another bottle at the price they sell it for

Two of the tyres were new and the third didn't have any latex in it before. Ride one of the bikes 2-3 times per week and they need topped up before each ride, just about made it home on the last ride. Never had a problem with tubeless before hence gong back to the Orange/Stan's type.

I just stripped my Uberbike test wheel to see what was going on.  In the three months or so most of the. Sealant seems to have gone.  There was a film on the inside of the tyre and wheel which was still liquid and washed off easily enough.  Few puddles of still liquid but not much.  It failed at the ‘slosh’ test.

Overall I’m inclined to think maybe the 27.5x2.8 just needed more sealant and that the tyre wasn’t fully mounted which I always suspected.  This particular wheel has not been ridden

I can say I’ve proved that getting it in your eye is not problematic though!  Quick handful of water and no issue. 😁

I picked up a bottle of decathlon's own brand, 500ml for £7.99. I expected it to be rubbish, having used Stan's and Orange. I'm now on my fourth bottle, just seems to do what it should.
