So, due to being confident i could run 27.5+ on my new hardtail build.. ive found out ia cant run 27.5+ on my new hardtail build (30mm rims)
Meaning my nice collection of tyres will be reserved for the FS
Ive been going in circles deciding on tyres
Its a Sonder signal TI, with a none boost pike (ACS3 coil) fork up front, that will be a my general purpose bike, surfaces will include chalk, rocky chalk, a little mud, off camber roots, some loamy steepness
I basically want a tyre that does everything 😉
But, when it gets really horrible muddy out i tend to jump on the FS as i can get away with more mistakes
i had a pair of dissectors on my previous hardtail which i liked, i would like a higher volume rear, with a decent amount of grip up front, but erring on the lighter side.
Im thinking a 2.6 with a durable casing up back, something like a rekon? and maybe a 2.4/5 front like a dissector.
But in stock...
i mean, i could buy a dissector/rekon of course.....
any other suggestions?
I just bought a Dissector and Rekon. First tyres I've bought in a couple of years. Glad I went 'up' in size to 2.6 because they come up a touch narrower than my Michelin in 2.4
Haven't ridden them yet but they look fast.
Ok, ive gone for a pair of Kenda Nevegal 2's in their enduro casing...
Both 2.6's
lets see how i get on...
