Mainly Schwalbe. My mate has just given me a Hans Dampf Addix Soft and racing Ralph in Addix speed compound.
Currently running Nobby mic front and rear. Which of the above should I replace the rear with or front?
My winter riding is mainly gravel tracks and canal path rather than mud.
Hans front, Ralph back, no question lol!
Ralph is a good fast light tyre but it's not a front tyre IMO.
Hans is more chunky tread.
Good for year round or keep nic for winter with hd front then Racing Ralph rear for spring.
I'd say it depends on how much each tyre is worn
Nicks are kind of in between both. So you could have
nick front Ralph back
Nick nick
Or hans front nick back
Or hans front Ralph back
Ralph tends to wheelspin a bit in mud so definitely more a summer tyre and definitely a rear tyre
Rear nic to front and then ralph on the rear. Save the less worn nic for the rear with the hans dampf on the front for bigger terrain days out.
Sorted so bin my rear Nic as it's worn, put the front nic to the rear and Hans front.
Then come dryer weather nic off and Ralph out back.
Sounds like a plan.
