On my rigid Fatty I've swapped my front tyre from a 120 tpi for a 60tpi.
It's no longer feels as good at soaking up bumps.
Am I imagining it, will it soften with wear?
I've measured the tyre and it's the same width but not quite as tall.

Higher TPI tyre carcasses are more flexible, plus they tend to be thinner (less rubber) which means lower rolling-resistance - even more noticeable at lower pressure because the tyre flexes more. Tubeless too makes a difference because of the energy losses between the inner tube and the tyre carcass
