Looks like my Hans Dampf and Magic Mary combo are not long for this world.

Both in SG casing to support my larger frame and hazardous line choice.

Mary and Dampf work well in the Scottish slop,

Anything new I should be looking at?

I love my 2.6 soft Mary, it's ace, but put a 2.6 butcher black diamond on for summer, bloody good in the soft stuff too.

Couple of mates are on 2.5 Assegai, seem well pleased.

Michelin wild enduro as well.

My next rest will be a Rock Razor SG, may even pair it with the Mary, be the first time in years I've had matching brands!

I love a Mary, brilliant the (except in the bone dry).
My new bike came with a 2.5 Assegai in MaxxTerra EXO+ (in fact it came with a pair, but everyone told me how slow it is on the back, I've put a DHR2 2.4 on the back instead) and I've been really impressed with it so far. Reminds me a lot of the Mary. Only had 2 rides on it though.

2.5 Shorty is better at slop than a Mary (though less good at hardpack).
DHR2 is better at everything than a Hans Dampf.

But tbh there's got to be other good options out there now that I've not tried. The mary and shorty are so good that I've not been tempted away for ages.
