If a tyre says its 24x2.12 what does it mean ??
As I got the vernier calipers out and measured the size of the tyre at its widest point pumped up and it's 46mm or 1.81"
Which is way off 2.12"
Because I'm trying to work out how big a tyre I can get for my sons splesh hotrocks 24"...the max frame clearance is 70mm or 2.75" for all you old skoolers!!
It's an approximate size of the tyre width. It varies massively by manufacturer (and also by the rim width). Only way to tell is to try it and see.
Thanks
Well that leave me with a prob....on eb....aaayyy there are these.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/VUELTA-USA-PAIR-24-x-3-00-MOUNTAIN-BIKE-FAT-WIDE-TYRES/380364293657?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&_trksid=p5197.c100068.m2280&_trkparms=ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140211130857%26meid%3Dd33cab77f1624e80b0aa685ac8bf9b1a%26pid%3D100068%26clkid%3D2808673853755041274&_qi=RTM2063723
And I think they would be perfect if they only blow up to 2.6".....but if they get bigger ...it's a expensive mistake..sorta!!
