looking at this any good? or anything else like it that is better ?
would it fix a pinch flat on a mountain bike?

no - will seal a thorn but not a pinch

They're a bit hit and miss on thorns too!

Not tried the zefal one but tried another couple of brands - vittoria and hutchinson I think. Neither seemed to work very well - think I managed to seal one puncture in 4.

I've used that Zefal one successfully in races before now - but they are hit and miss.
