Got a used CX bike coming my way.
Seeing as I have been getting my MTB TP way wrong for decades, I wondered what my starting point was for these?

Vittoria Cross XG Pro 32mm

I am 76kg (well, plus a couple of sick boy kilo probably) will be used on a mix of surfaces including some hard pack and a little bit of tarmac but also some slippery stuff and loose stuff.

Enough that they squidge just a little bit when you sit on it, then adjust to taste.

Going to guestimate that you, bike, kit including water will be ~90Kg. And dangerously, the tyre width is true, unlike say a Conti GP4000 28mm that is really ~31mm wide.

The original FastFitnessTips pressure suggester reckons ~55/67PSI (front/rear) for mixed surfaces.

Perfect, thanks both.

Ha ha, is that right?
That is more than 10% discrepancy.
I have seen a few comments about stated sizes being different to reality.
I shall need to try and remember that somehow.
Now, where to write that down????

Place heel of hand across tyre. Apply all weight to tyre and you should just feel the rim. That’s how I set mine.
