Snapped all my (admittedly aged) levers - spesh and park tools - trying to get Schwalbe One tubeless tyres off carbon rims on my roadbike.

Frustration is mounting, and the dremel is at hand. Before I get drastic, please tell me theres some strong, long levers with slim tips that'll get the job done!

Also technique may be a factor - any tips to make this easier? There's not much of a well in the middle of the rim to make the tyre looser.

I love my lezyne powerlevers- the smaller single ended ones are best. They're not long or strong, but the hook is so cleverly shaped that they don't have to be, a better hook is pretty much exactly like having a slacker tyre. Got my schwalbe ones off my impossible ambrosio rims

I have the same issue with my MTB, shwalbe on carbon rims.

I'm tempted to get one of these: https://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifeline-tyre-seating-tool

That’s for fitting only isn’t it? Not removing I think.

Yes I think your right. Fittings the hardest part though!

Yes I have one, it won't be any use for removing tyres (but great for fitting them)

If the tyre is that tight that it really won't seem to come off and assigning the tyre is to be thrown out I would cut the tyre off rather than risk damaging the rim (having damaged alloy rims before!)

I have not used one but the Tru Tension tyre monkey looked like it's designed to take tight tyres off. I have seen a video somewhere looked good.

I've got a tyre glider for exactly the same setup after a aborted ride following a ****in side wall tubeless puncture on my road bike. Took about an hour to get my tyre off, tube put in and tyre back on with levers. Tubeless sealant everywhere! How I didn't pinch the tube getting the tyre back on was just sheer luck!
Tyre glider thing took old tyre off easily and mounted the replacement pretty easily. No swearing at all! Can recommend!

That tyre glider looks ace, just ordered a couple (one for a mate). What are they like on carbon rims? Potentially a bit scratchy I’d guess, but perhaps no worse than a regular tyre lever.

@tonyd
Not particularly scratchy, doesn't slide as easily as in the vids on their site as it grips on the tyre but found once you got it moving it does the job. No scratches to the rim.
Suppose you could use a bit of the sealant on the bead so it has less friction.
Lives in my seat pack now

Also technique may be a factor – any tips

Try to demount the tyre by the valve, if you start elsewhere the tyre has to sit over the inside of the valve and this lifts the bead out of the well.

I hate tyre levers and mine only really get used for pushing back brake pistons! I just use my hands but I don't have road bikes/carbon rims! I find a tyre lever just increases the tightness of the bead further and then overcomes that with force.
