I'm going to be setting up a new set of wheels soon and will be going tubeless, these will be for my All road/Gravel/Winter bike, so am looking for a decent all rounder, doesn't need to be good in mud as I avoid that at all costs. It will be used throughout the winter on back roads and on disused railway lines and the South Downs during drier spells.
I'm currently running Schwalbe G ones tubed and I've been pretty happy with those, however they are a little draggy on the road. So I've narrowed the choice down to three but have now hit a wall of indecision and just can't commit, so looking to see if any one can offer any advice or experience to break the mental deadlock.
The short list is:
Schwalbe G ones
Panaracer Gravelkings semi slick
Hutchinson Override
All in 38 mm width, as that's about the maximum i can fit in the frame.
Thanks.
In the spirit of giving you something you haven't asked for, Spesh Pathfinders are excellent for what you want with a smooth centre rib for low road drag.
iv'e got the gravelking SK's on mine..
can't say i can notice any issues on road with them, i understand the SS is a few watts more efficient..
I'm not a major fan of the slick centres on tyres, not had that much experience however.. but did toy with the idea of changing my rear only to a SS
