I've a brand new rocket Ron which goes up tubeless and hold pressure fine. That is, until I ride it where in about 10 mins it deflates to about 10psi. It then holds that pressure. I cant find any holes or leaks, it's mounted correctly and the valve isn't leaking. All is fine with a tube in it.

?

Got any sealant in there? How much sealant?

If it's deflating fast when riding then I'd guess it's coming out of the bead. Is it a tubeless ready tyre? If not then even more likely perhaps. A good amount of sealant should seal up the bead area and also the sidewalls which may be porous, especially non tubeless tyres.

Also, use decent sealant like Stans. Some are quite thin and do a poor job.

I had an issue like that... On stans flow rims. Sealed fine, load of gloop in... Still kept dropping. Started again and took the tape off and could see a build up of stans. I think the tape must have come away a bit from the rim (had been on for ages)... Air was escaping through spoke holes.

Could be combination of the localised pressure spikes / rim deflection either burping or breaking bead away or something like I found with air leaking though rim tape.

I guess I would suggest retaping and start again! Good luck.

Oh and I assume you have done the "stans shake" (wheel in both hands and flick up and down whilst rotating to ensure even coating of stans inside carcass.

Next try slightly higher pressure. I usually go up to 40-50 psi on initial install to ensure bead fully seated.

Could also try leaving tube in overnight to to break the carcass in a bit.

It's caused by Schwalbe increasing tyre production rates - quantitative tyre easing - it's called. Leads to deflation.

It's a Schwalbe tubeless easy going on an American Classic tubeless rim, with the standard AC gel tape still installed. The rim has seen many tyres inflated no issues. It was new on a week ago, 80ml of stans fluid. I raced it today with a tube in. I'll leave it like that for 48 hours or so and try again.
