Hi guys
Just finished building up the frame and have come across what may be an issue so advice would be appreciated.
I am running 2.2 Rubber Queens and was doing so because I like them and they are high volume which meant a bit of extra squish on the hardtail.
When fitting the rear wheel to the trance I had to physically put pressure on the tyre to get the QR's to locate and the tyre was against the bit of the frame that sits behind the seat tube. Once fitted there is only a 5mm gap between the tyre and that piece of the frame.
This bit:

Do you think this will cause an issue?
I guess I don't need the higher volume tyre now the bike bounces both ends and if that is the case can anyone recommend a lower volume tyre that has the same characteristics as the RQ's?
(Trying not to make this into a 'What tyre thread ") 🙂
yeah noticed that. I've got a trance myself and run maxxis 2.1 anything larger you'd struggle with mud etc.
