Thought I would try a Schwalbe G One 30mm tyre on my road bike that I use for a bit of everything really but mostly commuting along canal towpath.
Used to run 25mm on this but never really noticed how little clearance there is until I fitted this.
Clearance is better at sides but took some pics of the top to try and show this.

Will a 28mm Schwalbe Pro One for example be a big difference or will I still be in danger of superman re-enactment or alternatively if someone could recommend me a fork (possibly carbon) that would have better clearance, even enough to fit a mudguard under maybe?.
Its a Cannondale CAAD 9
I wouldnt run that, as soon as you hit something and it squashes the tyre down it will probably rub the sides, eventually going right the way through the fork...
+1 Wiggles, and/or it'll 'just' grind massive grooves into your fork crown. I've got a 28mm One on the front of my road bike (a racey carbon Lapierre), which actually measures 30mm due to being on a noo-skool wide rim, and whilst it is tight it is better than that (but still close enough that I heli-taped the underside of the crown to stop it getting trashed).
Off it goes then!
Unless I can find fork that suits it better although that's not so easy to buy one then find out I have same issues.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
What's the clearance like on the rear wheel?
Can you run 30mm at the back, where the proportion of weight is greater and the additional volume will give you some cushioning, and 25mm front?
not the OP but for Timba I had more clearance on the front than the rear, I have a 25 on the back and a 28 on the front. I'd initially thought of putting it on the rear with the cushioning argument, but having put it on the front like the more-cornering-traction argument.
Have you ever seen how fast a muddy tyre wears through carbon or even metal?

Plenty, just wanted to up the size all round as much as possible to make it more comfortable.
Possible carbon fork upgrade to take a bit of the shock.
im no expert on road bikes, but i wouldnt (knowingly) ride that
