You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I have two weeks available at the end of July/beginning of August and want to go on tour on the bike. I have been toying with the idea of doing a long road tour, but the idea of getting to some of the most remote parts of the highlands on the MTB and using bothies is getting more appealing by the day.
Any ideas for a route?
Ride down to my house, then ride home again?
You could pick up the Pennine bridleway at Hexham and come on down, or come by train and ride back through the Lakes, the Dales and the Borders.
Coast to coast in a week, but longer if you explore en route. There's a book, originally Tim Woodcock and John Fulton, think it might be updated.
would check out mcmoonter's coast to coast, that looked quite off road and by implication remote. Would give some pointers anyway.
