Just to balance out some of the moaning and negativity we occasionally see on this forum, I feel I should publicly recognise 2 companies here for their excellent warranty service.

The first is Hope (naturally!) who just replaced my 4 year old Vision 2 battery FOC. All the more impressive because the issue was mainly self inflicted: I'd tried to improve the contact on split connector pin, broke it, then left it lying about and managed to trap it in a door and mangle it beyond repair.

The second is worth a mention as I saw a thread a while ago questioning their warranty. 49 weeks after purchasing a C&B Seen unit, the connector on the battery broke off in my hands. I got sent a new battery, again FOC, and a picture of how the manufacturer had changed the design to address this fault.

All I need now is my broken wrist to fix itself and I'll be able to put them to good use!

Brilliant, doesn't set many people off though! Unlike a poor customer service thread.

Xfusion and Rutland Cycles were a textbook example of good customer care when I had an issue. Similarly, I've just entered into a warranty situation with a dropper fork made by a certain manufacturer. I wouldn't call it bad so far, just very confused...more on this when it all shakes out.

Have you contacted the manufacturer?

Edit

I know someone similar - looks like BMC sponsor him due to the number of new frames he gets 😉

I broke a Zee mech the first day I used it, it came apart at the pivot. I assumed it had hit a rock or somesuch, and bent it back into shape with a big hammer. Left it in a box for a few months, as it was still a bit bent, albeit usable. Read a bunch of threads on here afterwards about how lots of Zees had failed at the pivot, due to a design fault. Dropped Rose an email, explained the scenario. They sent me a return label - I posted back to Germany FOC, and a full refund. Very impressed.

Renthal also, had a minor issue resolved by them recently (an issue I could have lived with, but they offered to replace straight away), top class service, replacement part delivered by UPS. fast answers to emails from a guy who was very keen to help. Will deffo buy Renthal again.
