You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Anyone know if they still open for business? I've been trying for nearly a week to get through but the line is constantly busy, to the point where I think they may not be anyone there! Nothing back on email either.
I spoke to them on Saturday about an order I'm waiting on. The customer services number was and still is constantly engaged but the main sales number was working ok.
From their Facebook page (16/04):
Due to increased demand we are dealing with many more enquiries than usual and our phone lines are busier than expected. This is leading to longer than normal waiting times to be answered so please wait on the line and we will get to you.
Halfords are saying they are about to invest more in Tweeks as they close Cycle Republic.
Could be awhile before that happens.
Isn't that Tredz rather than Tweeks?
I ordered from Tweeks a couple of weeks ago. 3 items all showing as in stock. Chose next day delivery.
Nothing turned up.
Sent an email after a week asking for an update
No reply
The transaction was showing as pending on my card, now it's disappeared completely
Well I paid on paypal and the money has come out of my account. Order was over a week ago - still can't get through to them, I don't mind waiting in a queue but the line just says busy so not getting that far.
On the flip side I ordered some brake pads at the start of last week from them and already have them here on my desk.
I ordered on 13th from Tweeks delivered today
I ordered a couple of weeks ago, and although they typically tend to take a little bit longer than most to despatch, my chain and bits arrived within a few days.
Whoops yes tredz not tweeks

I ordered some parts about three weeks ago and heard nothing from them. I tried calling and sent several emails but had no joy. I raised a dispute through PP and had a reply back two hours later saying that the parts were out of stock & received a refund the next day.
They're probably short staffed as I usually find them reliable if a little slower than CRC.
Definitely open for business. But I know they are snowed under with orders and low on staff numbers.
I had similar to a couple of posters above, ordered a rear wheel, money taken and no wheel showed up, I waited a week because of the current situation then tried calling & then emailing, no reply! I also raised a dispute via PayPal and got a reply in my favour the following day
My order from over a week ago hasn't turned up and had no contact from them. Emailed to chase today so will see if I get a helpful reply
Tweeks can be a little shonky even during normal times.
These are not normal times. I usually order from them when the price is very good and for a part that I don't need urgently.
Hope you guys get your parts or refunds asap.👍
Terrible service. They will never get my custom again.
I ordered on the 17th and apparently it's out for delivery today.
Ordered on 12th April but no dispatch notification yet. Waiting for a reply to my email...
Terrible service. They will never get my custom again.
I hear you. However, I ordered an SDG saddle after the parts above that never materialised. It turned up two days after placing the order. I think the "only just in time" supply chain has gone to rat$hit. I'm not defending them but parts not held in stock coming from outside suppliers are literally a roll of the dice. #GlitchInTheMatrix
Have bought quite a few things through them, nothing has ever really been in stock even when said 'in stock' - after chasing each order it has been 'in stock' at a supplier, I order from Tweeks, they order from supplier, a package arrives with me at some point in the future (unsure if comes from supplier direct or via Tweeks).
I ordered a few things mid March and they were very quick to deliver to be fair. Sounds like they have CV19 issues but they aren't exactly admitting it on their website which is poor.
Not really had an issue with Tweeks, I bought a Lezyne flow storage cage off their ebay shop about a month ago, a couple of rides later one of the retaining clips on the top snapped, messaged them, got a new one within a week.
Guess they're just busy at the moment.
Ordered some buts this morning, nothing urgent.
Hopefully they aren't too slow
01978 663000 gets you into a queue, 30 minutes got me from position 9 to answered
Thanks, but getting line busy still!
Got a couple of outstanding orders with them, one has apparently been dispached, and the other is still processing despite it being with them for a week.
Ordered a chain and a BB at the beginning of the month, and nothing, no response.
Chased them last week, 35mins on hold,
"the bb is out of stock"
but it was instock when I ordered it-
"it wasn't we don't carry those, we order them in. We'll send you the chai ring today.
Nothing, no despatch email, nowt.
Yesterday a despatch email on the BB.
For future reference I will file them with Tredz.
I've had brilliant service from them, ordered a few parts last week, one of them incorrectly so I called them up and they swapped in the correct part and it's all arrived today. Chuffed, especially under the current circumstances.
I used Tredz last week. Bit slow to dispatch but arrived quickly thereafter. Wiggle and CRC as normal. Singletrackbikes quicker than expected (website was clear that item would need to arrive from supplier first).
I ordered a few parts on 13 April, chased it by email on 19 April. Still no word. At least I know they're still trading so that's a relief. Lucky I don't need the parts urgently.
After the last success on brake pads I’ve just ordered another set. I had ordered them cheaper on eBay from a U.K. seller and heard nothing - I dropped them a line to ask what was going on and it was a Chinese seller whose U.K. warehouse is currently shut. They said they could dispatch from China instead - I said if it would be with me within a month and with no customs charge I was ok with that. They refunded me within 30 mins.
Tweeks seemed to be the next cheapest U.K. seller so gone with that. Incidentally it works out cheaper on eBay than direct on their website.
First time ive used them and the last
ordered brake pads last monday. nothing all week then an email on friday saying they had been despatched its now Wednesday and nothing in post today.
so thats 8 working days if they turn up tommorow. so phoned them. 40 mins on hold and they can't track package.
Still waiting on my order 3 weeks after placing it.
If I go to the website to track the order it still says "processing"
I've emailed them to tell them to cancel it.
Thankfully I ordered through PP so if they don't respond I'll just raise a dispute with them.
Its pretty clear that the slightly shonky online retailers, the ones that were a bit hit and miss at the best of times are basically now a shambles.
The ones that were well organised and reliable still are.
They are not processing returns, urghhhh.
I ordered a pair of shoes that came and were too small. Now I cant return them and have no shoes. So ordered a second pair a size up. Don't know how long I am going to have to wait for a return/refund on the first pair, could be months.
3 weeks for a bottom bracket... i wasn't in a rush as only for spares.

I had a similar situation with Tweeks. No working means of communicating with them. I tried for two weeks & eventually raised a dispute through PP. In light of the dispute Tweeks responded very quickly; within hours confirming they didn't have the parts in stock & issued a refund within a day of me raising the dispute.
Superstar annoyingly sent an automated email after I placed an order full of reasons why it might take two weeks to arrive. Well, it's here after two working days, so thank you SS.
Merin have also come through and the brake pads I ordered took two working days.
I'm giving Tweeks a wide berth until they're back up to speed.
