Probably local again in the morning, making the most of things before FE (allegedly) rip out our little blue trail in the new year.
I wish I was, completely lost my mojo, other than the occasional ride to work I’ve not been on a non-motorised 2 wheel conveyance since the early autumn. This year has been a bit of a bust for bicycle riding.
Not had any rain for some time now so the trail are getting dusty, making it a little treacherous on the steep stuff.
Haven’t ridden since smashing my shoulder in October. Still in a sling 3 weeks post second surgery with little movement. Combined with losing my father in law 2 weeks ago, and my own father in January, it’s hard to feel festive in our house. Really feeling for our teenage kids..
Nice sunny ride this morning. Pretty wet and muddy though.

I was out today doing the only Cyclo-cross event I do - the December round of the Yorkshire Cyclo-cross League. Fancy dress, so I went as Ebeneezer Scrooge. That involved wearing a wool coat but fortunately it's held in Heptonstall, the only place on earth cold enough to race with a heart rate of 200 and be comfy. I got 6th senior which was a nice surprise but no fancy dress award 😢
