been asked at work can you use turbo trainers outdoors in the rain wind and elements??
Not if you want them to last (in the rain) 🙂
seriously will they be damaged???
Cheap one 130 quid???ish
I doubt that they're designed to get soaked in water.
If it's not raining then don't see a problem though.
Take a tent.
for his garden........sweats so much his wife is banning him from the house/no shed space no garage patio only!
The tyre will slip on the flywheel.
You'll need some kind of cover to prevent it getting wet, unless he's got one of the new fancy cassette mounted types.
If you're using it outside in the rain surely you could just go for a ride?
+ 1 rocket
Has he been using a fan indoors? If not he needs to get one, I would never use a turbo in doors without a big fan and even then just wear shorts and no top
said the go for a ride but he has lost confidence following a big crash late in the summer and though in is 50s is a relative novice not to mention rather large at the moment so needs to feel 'comfortable' and bit fitter, shorts no top privacy of his own house or maybe this is the real reason for the ban?
If it's just the sweating that's the problem, how about some strategically placed towels? And a fan.
Sounds like the other half's the real problem if you ask me.
