I know it was down to £200 some time ago but still...
With TopCashback it's about £217.50 delivered. Gets good reviews it seems. I know you can make one cheaper but not everyone wants to or can.
Sorry if it's been done but might help someone. With trying any discount codes you might have, too.

That is a good price. For a bit more though you could have one of these.
Rock solid build quality and good local customer service if you need it.

I don't get these. If you want to go for a ride - go and ride. If you want to train, get on your turbo trainer. They don't make for a 'more realistic experience' because the bike goes the wrong direction when you stress it. There's also no way a shock absorbing feature added to a turbo trainer INCREASES potential power output - it's literally going to ABSORB power output. If this were the case we'd all be putting elastomer suspension on our road bikes.
I don’t get these.
More comfortable.
In what way? I don't find my bike on the turbo uncomfortable? Do you need a bike fit? Why would adding increased chafing and movement between saddle and bib short and hands and bars make it more comfortable?
Smart trainers are great but I find them weird when sprinting out of the saddle as the natural movement is lost. It's not about fit it's about feel. Now if there was a "force feedback" option too for off road/cobbles it'd be awesome. I'd still prefer outside though
Been looking at these tentatively.
> don’t find my bike on the turbo uncomfortable? <
Perhaps you are just lucky. It’s not a difficult concept to grasp - the average human body isn’t perfect enough to be locked into a fixed position and put through a precise range of mechanical movement for a long period of time. In my own case I have one leg noticeably longer than the other and I’m sure most people do to some extent. I don’t limp and I can preform at a decent enough level in most sports but a trainer or a rowing machine for example gets uncomfortable after 30 mins or so. Anything that allows a little movement will relieve that I’m thinking.
I’d love to give one a try. Recovering from serious injury, I have been relegated to the turbo for the last 4 months or so. I did allow myself a cheeky hour on the road the other day (don’t tell the physio!) and the thing that struck me most was the way the bike moved around beneath me, I’d completely forgotten. I imagine one of these would make the turbo much more realistic.
I have one, great addition to my setup.
Pro's - added comfort and reduces hotspots/numbness on longer sessions
Con's - sprinting is weird, I wouldn't get one if your into Zwift racing
Looking at these at the moment. Would like one which fits the Kickr climb
Turborocks currently have a sale on at the moment until the end of march and these can definitely hold a climb at the front which i believe the lifeline will not
clearly. Stop embarrassing yourself 🤣I don’t get these.
I bought the CRC one last time it was on offer, it's great although obviously "inspired" by the Turborocks design. Pretty much bought it on a whim, probably would've gone for the TR one if I was aware of it at the time (and it was reasonably similarly priced)That is a good price. For a bit more though you could have one of these.

what makes you think that? They look REALLY similar!!these can definitely hold a climb at the front which i believe the lifeline will not
@zilog6128 - just some reviews on wiggle.
"There is no way to attach the Kickr climb as there is no hole or loop on the climb that the straps can go through and the climb is designed to move/raise anyway. No issues with it so far though. "
although re-reading sounds like it does work although not attached
looking at the pics of the turborocks I can't see any additional mounting points/tethers that the lifeline doesn't have.
Climb will go on but won't be attached to the plate, but then do you attach the climb to a floor in anyway. I don't think you do (but I don't have one)
Not to sure @grantyboy,
just wondering if a slightly bigger base so more room for a climb - but looks like they will both work.
The amount you sweat though I think worth paying slighty more for a turborocks with the covering IMHO
plate size will also be impacted by your trainer size and bike wheel base. But yeah a bigger plate would give the climb more space to fit on.
I wipe mine down every ride, got a pack of wipes stashed by the trainer. Ply surface pools the sweat so easy to mop up and clean.
There is not much between the two plates. I got mine when they were £200, price swung it
HTH
it's laminated ply, mine is covered with sweat/oil, not bothered to clean it yet, it's fine 😂The amount you sweat though I think worth paying slighty more for a turborocks with the covering IMHO
I nearly bought one of these but just can’t justify £220.
Going to make a very basic rear end one next week and see just how much it helps.
Then might go nuts and make one with for and aft movement as well.
