Hi all. Just bought a second hand tacx turbo from trailmoggy of this parish. Top bloke! Just want to see how I get on before spending more cash. Thus, a turbo virgin.
Anyway, just quickly tried my 700 x 35 CX wheel in there and even when lowering the roller as far away as possible, the tyre still rubs on the plastic casing which houses the roller.
Is this because of the tyre size? Will a turbo tyre fix this? Shall I try an el cheapo road tyre first?

is there a (perhaps red) lever underneath the roller which you can push down?

I only had the issue u describe when i didnt realise this
Not sure but my tacx can be set up for 26" or 700, if its in 26 config would cause fit problem. Ask the seller how he had it set up? I just used the cheapest tyre i could find on crc, then replaced with a 2nd hand turbo tyre later.
Thanks both. Tried everything. No adjustment other than the roller. May try a cheap road tyre before I pay 30 notes for a turbo tyre!
