Ive set up 10 pairs over the years and no bother. I have a set of kore realm 2.7 29er wheels and have recently setup a 2.6 WTB trail boss tough casing with rimpact. Took ages to get on. I injected stans through the rimpact value and added a bit extra for good measure.

Over a few days of shaking it. Deflating it etc it still had sealant bubblea through the rim. Seemed to sort itself in the end.

Now it stays inflated for 24hrs before it feels flat.

I have a ding or 2 in the rim but that doesnt seem to leak there when i added watrer around the seam. Im wondering if its the rimpact limiting flow of the stans fluid to the rim edge or maybe ive not added enough fluid.

Is this normal

I had this. Changed the valve cores. Barely looses any pressure now.

Just took tte valve core out. Added a bit more stans. Shook it about. Lets see how that goes

It was odd but the stayed reasonably inflatted with the value core out.

I had similar issues. Changed my schwalbe for maxxis about 2 weeks ago and had trouble with a leaky valve/rim hole since. Changed the rim tape....no luck. Got new valves.....better but still going down over a day or so in the house, nearly gone through a bottle of Stan’s! Been riding my other bike the last 2 weeks till I get time to look at it again. Never had issues before, right pain in the arse!

Have you ridden it yet? Take it round the block for 15 mins and see if that improves things.
Last time I struggled to get a tyre to stay inflated for more than a day or so, I found it was fine after the first ride on it.

Rimpact etc definitely can affect how fluid spreads around, it's one of the things that's made me more or less stop using them- got a tiny puncture at the mega which wouldn't seal because of the foam, I guarantee it'd have barely lost air without it.

I mean, obviously, having the foam in meant it wasn't the disaster a flat wouldn't usually have been, but still.

That's just the foam holding the shape.

it still had sealant bubblea through the rim

I dont know what this means. Tyre/rim joint? Coming through the spoke holes? Coming through the rim joint?

Agree that riding on it should seal any remaining "normal" holes, but I recently had the same problem after struggling to get a tyre on - turned out I'd ripped the tape in one place and managed to peel it back in another.

Yep. Go for a ride.

I've found with road and gravel tubeless set up that I've sometimes needed to leave the wheel flat, on it side, for a couple of hours, then switch to the other side. Helps 'soak' the sidewalls and the rim/tyre interface.

needed to leave the wheel flat, on it side,

Always doing so. Works a treat. Only Missus complaining that she stumbles on wheels cluttering middle of the kitchen or living room xD

Cheers!

Agree with riding it. you need the sealant to find it's way into gaps. The other thing I've found useful is to run a line of sealant around the tyre bead before you inflate and seat it.

Took ages to get on suggests it was tight bead.

I'll take nipped the tape for 10 Bob

Still holding pressure after 24 hours. Nipping the valve up, more gunge and manipulation seems to have done the trick. Just need to ride it.

That tyre is on sooooo tight i doubt it will burp now.
