Hi all,
Been sitting on pc now for about 3 hours reading up on tubeless setup and am getting very confused! So I have these wheels - http://www.hopetech.com/product/hope-tech-enduro/
I want to go tubeless with them but there are two different kits available from I can see -
A - http://www.merlincycles.com/no-tubes-standard-tubeless-kit-45215.html Priced at £44.95 and
Do I need the yellow tape to go under the rubber strip in option A or will either work? The hope website does specify which kit to use..
Thanks in advance if anyone can help!
Chris
As long as you have tubeless ready tyres you just need yellow tape, valves and sealent. You don't need rim strips.
They go up as easily as stans rims
Ps my old set needed to go up to 50psi for the bead to pop onto the rim. Just listen for the pop and they're sorted
Hi Winrya
Using Maxxis Beaver's and reading around online people seem to have had pretty good success getting them to seat. Am I best off buying the syringe to put the fluid through the valve as well? Looks like it might reduce the chances of me making a large mess on kitchen floor! lol
Chris
Stans sell a kit with 2 little bottles. Once they are seated I let air out, remove the valve core and the bottles fit in the valve. Core back in place, pump up and done.
Sweet, thanks for the help!
Hey Chris what kit did you go for in the end?
