someone who rides with us wants to go tubeless. hes got a mondraker dune that came with mdk disc pro wheels.
they say tubeless ready. so is it just a case of rim tape and valves like my flow exs?
if so what width rim tape?
thanks

Have you searched on google for the rim width?

cant find it on the internet so If I measure the internal width is it a case of getting 19mm tape if the width is 19mm and same for a different width?
cheers

you only really need to cover the spoke holes, though some folk like to fill the entire rim bed - makes a slightly tighter fit on the bead (can be a good or bad thing) and might prevent the tape lifting if/when tyre is removed again

I'd tape it and then leave overnight with a tyre and tube in to press it down well

Searched and found...

Same as these?

http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/wheelset-mdk-disc-pro-hub-dt-445d-rim-tubeless-converted-26-15mm12x135mm

If so says 19 so yes 19mm tape if you can find it. I would search around to see if anyone elae has gone tubeless first though to check out their experiences.
