I need to replace a tyre on a tubeless rim. The current tyre has been used with sealant.
I've taken the old tyre off, and given the rim and tape a wipe down to mop up the residual sealant.
Would it be better to replace the rim tape and valve, and give the rim a good clean after the old stuff has been removed?
I was thinking that as long as the inside edges of the rim (where the tyre seals to) doesn't have too much gunge on it then it might be better to leave the old tape in place as the old sealant would already have sealed the spoke holes etc.
I'd only replace it if it's damaged or not sticking right. No reason to disturb it otherwise
Thanks - I was hoping that would be fine.
