Got air leaking from bottom of valve? Tyres sealed nicely, just a constant stream of air coming from bottom of valve? What have I done/not done?

Probably a lifted or damaged bit of rim tape. Air escaping from the biggest hole at the valve. Take it all off and have a look.

Tightened the valve enough?
Try pushing down on the valve from inside the rim as you tighten.
In the past I've put an o-ring between the rim and valve nut thingy..

Most likely; leaking through tape into rim cavity, then out through valve hole. Leak is not necessarily anywhere near the valve.

Less likely; a leak around valve itself, but not impossible.

Least likely; valve itself damaged.

I had that, made a gasket using an old thick tube puncture repair patch with a hole cut in it for valve

Fitting an o ring is easier than reaping so I'd try that first
